Funny story from this transport…
On Sunday, I promised myself that I was going to leave the shuttle alone and do some other things on my list. But, I thought, I’d better get out some of the blankets and stuff because it was going into the shop to get the AC fixed (that’s a non-negotiable when you’re traveling to KY). As I was picking up the blankets, I hear mewing…

We have a stowaway! Somehow, a kitten managed to escape a crate or just came along for the ride. I named him Harry Houdini! He’s more than a little fiesty and cantankerous. But, after his overnight with me, he’s now happily in a Syracuse rescue awaiting adoption.

50 dogs and 8 puppies made the trip.

Plus 5 Cats and 13 Kittens! (not counting Harry Houdini)

Many thanks go out to the network of volunteers that make these transports possible. Thank you to the shelter staff, transport coordinators, receiving rescues, drivers, co-pilots, overnight hosts, monitors, and donors.
